I could hear the world around me and its endless amounts of noise and chaos that reached to the farthest corners of existence. I could taste the things that I’d never tasted before and smelled the scents of the air from Japan to Sweden to Mexico. The world was inside of me, beating behind the cage of ribs in my chest. I was everyone and everything—yet, I was nothing. I was undeniably dead. The world did not beat inside of me—I slept in its womb, unmoving.
